Receptionist – Carolina Collective Dance Centre
Location: Bluffton, SC
Rate: $15–$20/hour DOE
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 3:30–7:30 PM
Reports to: Office Manager & Studio Owner

At Carolina Collective Dance Centre, we are passionate about cultivating a positive, supportive, and inspiring environment where dancers of all ages and levels can grow in confidence, discipline, and technique. Our team is committed to excellence both on and off the dance floor, and we are looking for a friendly and reliable Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our studio.

Position Summary:
The Receptionist plays a vital role in maintaining the warmth, cleanliness, and organization of our studio. This individual will be the first point of contact for students, parents, and guests, and should bring a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to take initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk Duties:

    • Greet dancers, families, and guests with a warm and welcoming presence

    • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries professionally

    • Assist with check-ins, class-related questions, and basic studio information

    • Monitor studio entrances and ensure a secure and safe environment

  • Administrative Support:

    • Take daily class attendance and assist with tracking dancer participation

    • Support the Office Manager and Studio Owner with day-to-day administrative tasks

    • Assist with studio communications, paperwork, and filing

    • Use scheduling and management software (training provided)

  • Studio Upkeep:

    • Ensure the lobby and studio spaces are tidy and presentable at all times

    • Wipe down mirrors, sweep floors, and clean windows as needed

    • Take out trash and recycling at the end of the shift

    • Help with light cleaning and basic maintenance as requested

Ideal Candidate:

  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor

  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Comfortable working around children and families in a fast-paced environment

  • Computer proficient and able to learn new systems quickly

  • Willing to pitch in wherever needed – no task too big or small

  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Monday–Thursday from 3:30–7:30 PM

  • Occasional extended hours may be needed to assist with studio closing (advance notice will be given)

  • Pay is $15–$20/hour depending on experience
