Competitive program
Our Competitive Program is designed for dancers who are ready to challenge themselves, grow as artists, and be part of a supportive, team-driven experience. Each season, our competition dancers travel to three conventions and one competition, giving them valuable opportunities to learn from industry professionals, receive meaningful feedback, and apply that knowledge in the studio. Dancers are thoughtfully grouped by age and level to ensure appropriate training and development: Petites (ages 5–7), Minis (ages 8–10), Juniors (ages 11–12), Teens (ages 13–15), and Seniors (ages 16–18).
At the heart of our competitive program is exceptional technique paired with an uplifting team culture. We intentionally choose high-quality, challenging conventions and competitions so dancers can push beyond their comfort zones, learn how to listen to feedback, and grow from it—skills that extend far beyond the dance floor. Dancers train as both individual artists and team members, learning how to shine as a group while also supporting one another with encouragement and positivity. In addition to group dances, we offer solo and duo opportunities, allowing dancers to deepen their artistry, build confidence, and experience personal growth while still being part of a close-knit team.
The memories created through our competitive program—from travel days and rehearsals to performances and celebrations—are some of the most meaningful for our dancers. Through teamwork, shared goals, and cheering each other on, our dancers learn collaboration, resilience, and leadership, all while developing strong technique and a lifelong love of dance.
Each year, dancers are invited to audition once annually for placement in our Competitive Program, allowing us to thoughtfully group dancers by age, level, and readiness. Auditions are held by age group and include both a ballet combination and a jazz combination, giving our faculty the opportunity to assess technique, musicality, performance quality, and overall potential. For the upcoming season, competitive auditions will take place on May 30th. Dancers are then carefully placed into groups that best support their growth and success.
