Welcome to Recital 2026!
Carolina Collective Dance Families,
It is with such excitement and pride that I welcome you to our 2026 Annual Recital (Virtual) Packet, thoughtfully created to guide you through all the important details leading up to our end-of-year celebration, Broadway Bound, taking place on May 16, 2026 at Bluffton High School. This packet—and the pages that follow—will serve as your go-to resource as we prepare for this very special day!
Our annual recital is one of the most meaningful moments of the season. It brings together every dancer in our studio, from our tiniest 12-month-old baby ballerinas stepping on stage for the very first time, to our graduating senior taking her final bow. Both our recreational and competitive dancers have worked tirelessly all year—learning, growing, and building confidence—and recital is their moment to shine!
Performing in a professionally run production is an empowering and confidence-building experience for our dancers. It gives them the opportunity to learn about the theatre, rehearsals, stage presence, and teamwork while celebrating all that they have accomplished. There is truly nothing like seeing their hard work come to life under the stage lights.
This year’s theme, Broadway Bound, is inspired by the magic of the stage—the bright lights, big dreams, and unforgettable moments that make Broadway so special. Our faculty has poured their hearts into creating fun, dynamic, and show-stopping choreography that captures the spirit of Broadway while highlighting each dancer’s unique personality and progress. We cannot wait for your dancers to razzle, dazzle, and take center stage.
Thank you for trusting us with your dancers, supporting them throughout the season, and being such an important part of our Carolina Collective family. We are so honored to share this special performance with you and cannot wait to celebrate the journey, the growth, and the joy of dance together.
With love,
Mama Tess

Curtain call logistics
Makeup
For our Combo and younger classes, a very small amount of mascara and lip gloss is just perfect. For older dancers, please reference our detailed makeup guidelines to ensure stage-ready looks that photograph and perform beautifully under stage lighting.
Hair
hair will be styled in a low bun with a center part. If your dancer’s piece requires a different hairstyle, you will be notified directly by your teacher.
Dress Rehearsal
We understand that waiting during dress rehearsal can be challenging (especially for our youngest dancers) but this process is essential in helping dancers understand stage spacing, lighting, transitions, and the overall flow of the show.
To make the day smoother, please pack snacks, water, and quiet activities for your dancer. we have chosen to keep dress rehearsal and the performance on the same day to make recital weekend easier on our families. Dancers should arrive in full hair, makeup, and costume unless otherwise directed.
Drop Off & Pick Up
Dancers will be checked in and dropped off in the hallway of the theatre with Carolina Collective staff. Pick up and check out will take place in the same location immediately following their final performance.
Program Dedications
Printed playbills will be available to our recital guests. Families will have the opportunity to purchase a program dedication to celebrate and recognize their dancer. please see the link below for more details.
