Saturday Morning Preschool Dance Instructor

Carolina Collective Dance Centre is seeking a warm, reliable, and engaging Saturday Morning Dance Instructor to lead our early childhood program. This position focuses on building confidence, coordination, musicality, and structure for our youngest dancers in a fun, nurturing, and organized environment.

Classes Include:

  • Parent & Me (Ages 12 months – 2 years)

  • Tiny Tots (Ages 2 – 3) – Ballet, Tumbling & Creative Movement

  • Ballet/Tap/Tumbling Combo (Ages 3 – 4)

Schedule & Program Structure:

This role is specifically for Saturday mornings. Consistent Saturday availability is required. While substitute coverage may occasionally be arranged, this is a dedicated weekend teaching position.

The program will begin as an initial 8-week Saturday session. If the program continues successfully, the position may be added permanently to our studio calendar.

Compensation:

$20–$30 per hour, based on experience.

Support & Resources Provided:

We provide everything needed to teach successfully. Curriculum, music, lesson plans, props, and overall class structure will be supplied. Your responsibility is to bring the energy, classroom leadership, engagement, and positive presence that make early childhood programming thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead structured, engaging, and age-appropriate dance classes

  • Introduce foundational ballet, tap, tumbling, rhythm, and coordination skills

  • Create a safe, joyful, and organized classroom environment

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents

  • Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to teach

  • Be willing to step in, collaborate, and support the team when needed

  • Serve as a positive and encouraging representative of the studio

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Dance background required

  • Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children preferred

  • Reliable transportation

  • Dependable and punctual

  • Strong communication skills

  • Team-oriented, flexible, and professional

  • Confident, patient, and energetic working with very young children
